We found this sauce tucked away in a corner of the Grand Central Market at Grand Central Station New York. Turns out it is made by a 2nd generation Greek guy who spent many summers as a chef in Portugal and fell in love with the peri peri sauce. What makes this sauce special is the addition of a whiskey base that gives it an oak/Tabasco kind of flavor. It is absolutely delicious and makes Nando's look amateur, especially with regards the natural ingredients. They even grow their own peppers organically.
